History
The POMMIER Company's story started in 1946. Around this time, Xavier POMMIER opened a general mechanical and agricultural workshop in the center of Viabon.
1964 : at the age of 15 years, Guy POMMIER entered into this small family company and worked along side his father as an apprentice mechanic.
1973 : Creation of SCEBP POMMIER.
With the help of a local farmer, Guy Pommier created 3 000 to 8 000 Litre trailers and hoppers, including 5 000 to 10 000 Litre Transvrac Hoppers. 1 300 hoppers of these types were manufactured until 2003, the last year of production. Guy Pommier, with the precious help of local farmers, also developed other products such as the Phyto-Hoes and the Roller System.
1980 : Construction of a 1000 m² industrial building dedicated entirely to manufacturing agricultural equipment.
1986 : First production of an aluminium boom from our workshops. This aluminium boom, measuring 24m, was assembled to fit onto Mr. Paul Besnard's Bobar self-propelled motor.
1987 : Beginning of a partnership with the Blanchard Company.
1988 : Pommier built a 36m boom to be fitted on Matrot equipment.
1990 : Many other agricultural manufacturers, such as Delvano, Landquip, Spracoupe and Hardi Evrard began to fit their sprays with our aluminium booms.
1995 : A 48m boom was produced in our workshops.
2004 : Artec company decided to fit their self-propelled motors with our aluminium booms.
2005 : The Research and Development Department created a 50m boom.
2006 : The Pommier Company became the first manufacturer of aluminium booms in the world and celebrated the production of its 12 000th boom.
2008 : Boom production increased to 1 700 booms per year.
2009 : Creation of a 3-arm boom measuing 27m to 48m.
2010 : Pommier released "l'Hybride".
2012 : Commercialization of the first booms on Hardi sprayers in Austalia. Enlarged buildings and created a new paint room.
2014 : Production of the 24 000th boom.
2020 : Production of the 30 000th boom.
2022 : 44km of booms were produced in only a year.
2023 : 50 years of the company SCEBP POMMIER
